Nacsport and Realtrack Systems collaboration agreement

Nacsport and RealTrack Systems have signed a collaboration agreement. Both companies develop technology applied to improve performance in sports from two different and complementary approaches. They will collaborate in technical and commercial levels.

This agreement will allow both companies to generate a synergy to nurture the technology developed by each other. By doing so, both companies will be able to offer their customers more and better solutions in the field of performance analysis.

Nacsport develops and markets performance analysis solutions. Users are able to make better decisions after getting quality information from using it. The Nacsport suite includes seven video analysis programs and also an iPad app. They have all been created to allow a more detailed analysis for every user, no matter what their level or budget is.

RealTrack Systems provides sport professionals with precise and constant data regarding physical activity, such as acceleration, speed, distance covered or heart rate, among others. These data are monitored through their leading device, Wimu, and shown via Qüiko and Wisee, specific software used to interpret this information.

The products developed by both companies are highly complementary and intended for the same users, that is, athletes and sport professionals who need to get valuable and comprehensive information so they can optimise performance and results.

¿Conocer las exigencias de la competición en fútbol es necesario?

La finalidad de los entrenamientos es preparar a los jugadores para que su cuerpo pueda asimilar las exigencias de la competición y por ello es necesario conocer las exigencias de la misma. También es interesante, conocer las exigencias en cada periodo.

Algunas investigaciones, analizan estas exigencias en intervalos de 5 o 10 minutos.Hemos analizado las exigencias de dos jugadores de categoría cadete (14 años). Estos jugadores son defensas centrales. El registro se ha llevado a cabo durante un partido amistoso.

El análisis de los datos se ha automatizado de tal forma, que el analista, aplicando el monitor específico de fútbol, obtiene un exhaustivo análisis.

Los datos se organizan en pestañas. En la primera pestaña se muestra un resumen general. En las siguientes pestañas se muestra un análisis más específico.

Cycling: dicovering brand new horizons with Wimu and Moxy

Continuing with our multidisciplinary work with WIMU; last days we had the opportunity to work in an always exciting and challenging sport: cycling.

 

For this discipline, there are multiples parameters used for monitoring and follow up for both the cyclists and the bicycle. We are talking about: speed, heart rate, cadence, pedal power and…  muscle oxygen saturation (SmO2).

Those are just a few of the many available parameters.

Each parameter gives value information. It’s a practical tool for the athlete and his coach when they are facing training to improve the performance.  Never the less, it’s the fusion of all those parameters the real high value. When you can have synchronized metrics such as impacts, bike and cyclist inclination, rotation speeds, accelerations or oxygen consumption in each leg; is when you are dealing with High Performance and an authentic Smart Training.
This fusion of sensors (internals and externals) is what makes WIMU unique to plan and analysis the physical training.

Without any doubts, pedal power is a huge advance to train at the correct intensity in each moment. If you add muscle oxygen saturation, it’s possible not just to have the muscle work, but how that work is affecting it.

Training based on power allows to analysis quality of the workout; without taking in concern facts such as weather conditions or the field. Adding the SmO2, we can know how much it takes to full muscle exhaustion and recovery time.

Ciclismo: descubriendo nuevos horizontes con Wimu + Moxy

Continuando con nuestro trabajo de uso de Wimu en múltiples disciplinas deportivas, estos días hemos tenido la oportunidad de trabajar de nuevo a fondo en un deporte tan apasionante y exigente como el ciclismo.

En la mencionada disciplina, existen múltiples parámetros de monitorización y seguimiento en el entrenamiento, tanto de la cara del ciclista como de la bicicleta. Velocidad de la bici, frecuencia cardíaca del ciclista, cadencia de pedaleo, potencia desarrollada en el pedaleo… y saturación de oxigeno en musculo (SmO2) son en los sensores que hoy nos fijamos entre muchos más parámetros posibles.

Está claro que cada medida, por si sola, proporciona un gran valor y una gran herramienta para el atleta y entrenador de cara a la planificación y seguimiento. Pero una fusión de varios de estos parámetros en un conjunto de valores sincronizados en el tiempo, y a la vez enriquecidos con variables inerciales como impactos, inclinación de la bicicleta (o ciclista, según la ubicación elegida del dispositivo), velocidades de rotaciones… es lo que realmente puede hacer de Wimu una herramienta muy a tener en cuenta en la planificación, control y seguimiento de la preparación del ciclista.

Qué duda cabe, que los medidores de potencia en el pedaleo suponen un gran avance para entrenar exactamente a la intensidad necesaria en cada momento. Pero si a esto lo complementamos con la medida de saturación de oxigeno (SmO2) del músculo, obtendremos no solo lo que está trabajando ese músculo, si no también como le está afectando dicho trabajo. El entrenamiento basado en potencia permite obtener un parámetro de calidad del ejercicio, ajeno al terreno o a condiciones atmosféricas, y que de la mano de SmO2, nos va a indicar cuando nos queda hasta el agotamiento o hasta la recuperación.

First Run of CARVIREN

Last Monday (28th of July), we were at the CAR running the first of the two runs required by Experimedia.

We were testing CARVIREN. For those who catch up on us now, here is a small remember about “what’s CARVIREN?”:

Carviren is a virtual network for the CAR, where athletes and coaches can access using a rolling system and check in real time or delayed mode the different training sessions recorded. Information is visualized using a widgets system called Sportwis. These sportwis give elaborate information in a simple and visual way, so rapid feedback can be achieved.

For recording the raw data we use WIMU in its dual way: as a hub (collecting data from external ANT+ sensors) and as a collector device (with its inside sensors: accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, etc.).

 

Disciplines tested

We tested two disciplines: trampoline and triatlon. For the trampoline discipline we were testing our monitor “jumps”, that measures flight time, forces and high. For triatlon we tested Moxy (monitorization of oxygen in the muscle during the excersice).

Moxy: total integration and compatibility with WIMU and Qüiko

Little by little, Quiko monitors are growing; especially those dedicated to the physiological part. We recently, have integrated a new product from our American partner, the Moxy http://www.moxymonitor.com.

Moxy is a device that measure muscle oxygenation levels in muscle tissue. Using Wimu as a hub, we create a bridge to connect moxy data with our inner sensors and other external ones. A combination very powerful to analysis disciplines and sports such as football, athletics, cyclist and way more.  And is this combination, that makes us unique.

Coming soon, there will be more news regarding this integration and a further one… with Seego. So far, we cannot tell you more… spoilers!Bottom View

Poco a poco van creciendo en Qüiko los monitores especialmente en la parte fisiológica, recientemente hemos integrado un producto de nuestro partner norteamericano MOXY http://www.moxymonitor.com, que es un dispositivo capaz de medir la saturación de oxígeno en musculo, actuando Wimu como puente o hub, somos capaces de integrar y sincronizar estos datos con el resto de los capturados por Wimu u otros sensores fisiológicos, una combinación impresionante en disciplinas como fútbol, atletismo, ciclismo, y un largo etc y un punto de calidad y diferenciación de nuestro sistema.

En breve habrá noticias sobre la misma integración que se ha llevado a cabo en Wimu y Qüiko, pero esta vez será con Seego…. por ahora no contamos más. Bottom View

WIMU and the Latvia National Football team

For the last weeks, Realtrack Systems team has been working with Alejandro Muñoz (Latvian Football Federation physical trainer) developing new features for Qüiko.

The newest Champion of the Baltic Cup purchased a pack of WIMUs. Alejandro is doing a very brilliant job by introducing news and innovations for the national team and the Federation.

We couldn’t be more proud to collaborate with him and the Federation.

Experimedia 2014: Carviren demonstration

Two weeks ago, Realtrack was on the Barcelona meeting at the CAR of Sant Cugat. We were assisting to the Experimedia General Assamble, where all the experimenters were going to be reviewed.

Three demonstration were scheduled for those days: Playhist (Tecnalia), 3DRSBA (Qualysis) and CARVIREN (Realtrack Systems).

A brief recap about CARVIREN:

Carviren is a virtual network for the CAR, where athletes and coaches can access using a rolling system and check in real time or delayed mode the different training sessions recorded. Information is visualized using a widgets system called Sportwis. These sportwis give elaborate information in a simple and visual way, so rapid feedback can be achieved.

For recording the raw data we use WIMU in its dual way: as a hub (collecting data from external ANT+ sensors) and as a collector device (with its inside sensors: accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, etc.).

Our demonstration consisted in a accessing the Carviren website using 3 types of roles:

  2. Trampoline coach (access to the trampoline widgets)
  3. Gymnast coach (access to the life video of the gymnast area)

The aim of the demonstration was to access to the CARVIREN experiment using an Iphone (IOS), an Android tablet and a Laptop (Windows); show different information according to the different roles and all of it, in real time:

 

This experiment was focused on Real time, next demonstration will add new Sportwis (like the flying time for trampoline) and the Recording System and database (for  the delay mode).
